The Nigerian government led by President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, July 26, 2021 failed to produce the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu before a federal high court in Abuja.
Kanu was to appear before Justice Binta Nyako to face trial on treasonable felony charges against him by the Buhari’s government.
The Prosecution stated that the IPOB leader, who was arrested in Kenya, was not in court due to logistic reasons.
The Court advised that trial can not continue in the absence of Kanu, adjourned to October 21, 2021.
