The alleged abducted 14-year-old Bayelsa girl, Miss Ese Oruru and her Islamist abductor, Yunusa (Inusu) have been flown to Abuja from the Kano Zone 1 office of the assistant inspector general (AIG) of police.
Spokesman of the zone, ASP Rabilu Ringim told THISDAY that the duo have left the Kano Zone 1 headquarters in the wee hours of Tuesday, March 1, 2016 after their statements had been taken.
Rabilu said: “The girl and the boy have been flown to the headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force headquarters to properly hand her over to her parents.”
According to him, the girl will be reunited with her parents who will be at the force headquarters.
He said the girl and the boy were properly catered to while in Zone 1 HQ in Kano.
Human rights activists working with the Orurus to get back their daughter say that Yunusu is a man and not a boy as being projected by the police in Kano and some defenders of the Emir of Kano.
