The first civilian governor of Lagos state, Lateef Jakande has died at the age of 91.
The renowned journalist and administrator died in the early hours of Thursday, February 11, 2021.
Jakande was the first civilian Governor of Lagos State from 1979 to 1983 and was so outstanding that he was nicknamed Action Governor.
He later served as Minister of Works under the Sani Abacha military regime.
