BREAKING: ‘My Tweet Is My Human Right’ – Pastor Adeboye Ignores Nigeria’s Twitter Ban

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, has violated Nigeria’s Twitter ban.

The Nigerian Government on Friday, June 4, 2021 suspended the use of Twitter in the country after the social media gaint deleted President Muhammadu Buhari’s tweet which violated the rules of the platform.

Buhari tweeted what is referred to a ‘Civil War’ tweet where he threatened genocide on the people of the south east Nigeria.

Pastor Adeboye on Monday, June 7 used Twitter platform stating that it was his human right.

He wrote: “The Redeemed Christian Church of Gdod is domiciled in more than 170 Nations and Territories. The tweets here are in accordance to Article 19 of the UN universal declaration of Human Rights.”

The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, on Saturday directed the immediate prosecution of offenders of the Federal Government ban on Twitter operations in Nigeria.
