Indications have emerged that President Muhammadu Buhari relieved his Chief Security Oficcer, CSO, Abdulrahman Mani, over what sources describe as “shady deals and “undermining” of the Presidency by leaking President Buhar’s itinerary to Diezani Alison-Madueke when he travelled to London in May.

Dr. Diezani Alison-Madueke is the immediate past Minister of Petroleum resources in Nigeria, and to the surprise of many, travelled on the same British Airways flight with President Buhari and even sitting in same cabin and right behind the then President-elect.

The Cable also reports that it was alleged that she wanted to garner the favour of President Buhari following a series of allegations of corruption against her.

However, the former minister’s aide has debunked the claim, asserting that she was on a private trip for her son’s graduation.

“Investigations also revealed that Mani has been actively undermining the president, working against every value the president upholds and conducting himself in such a manner as to suggest that he is out pull down the president, ” the source while granting interview with TheCable stated.

Mani was given the post of Buhari’s CSO after the immediately after the presidential polls in March.

President Buhari has appointed Bashir Abubakar as the new CSO to the president while Mani has been sent to Ebonyi state.

Bashir Abubakar was the immediate past assistant director of the Bayelsa State command of the Department of Sate Service (DSS).

Meanwhile, Widi Liman, President Buhari’s adminsitrative officer has been relieved of his duties too.

It was also reported that Liman was a hand-in-hand ally with Mani in turning securing appointments with the president into a “business venture.”

Liman has been redeployed to Oyo State command of the DSS.
