Operatives of the Nigerian Police Force on Thursday, August 6, 2020 stormed Edo House of Assembly complex in Benin City.
Patrol vehicles and dozens of policemen were stationed at the complex in the early hours of the morning.
This comes a day after the deputy speaker of the house, Yekini Idiaye was impeached by members of the house.
Idiaye was impeached days after he declared his support for the governorship candidate of the All Progressives COngress, APC, Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
The police stormed the complex on Thursday morning in an operation led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations), Ayoola Ajala.
