Oby Ezekwesili, a former minister of finance, has taken another swipe at President Muhammadu Buhari, saying the president only enjoys travels and waving goodbye from his plane with no sense of good governance.
Ezekwesili made the assertion following the departure of President Buhari from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, en route to South Africa.
Buhari left Nigeria for a meeting with South African president, Cyril Ramaphosa, to discuss bilateral issues following the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians resident in the country.
After noting Mr. President’s demeanour as he waved to Nigerians from the presidential aircraft, Ezekwesili, in a statement published on Twitter said:

“The first and greatest failure of the President was for me the total lack on character he showed and continues to show on the tragedy that befell our Chibok Girls and their families.

“History will surely record that two successive governments and leaders of our country failed the children of the poor BADLY.
“I maintain that the greatest ‘sin’ of our Chibok Girls and Leah Sharibu is to not be the daughters of Nigeria’s wicked Political Class.
“The tentative and lackluster attitude to rescuing them would never have happened to privileged daughters. A nation that hates its Poor.
