The presidential candidate under the All Progressive Congress, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday, January 4, 2015 attended the Lagos State Government 2015 Annual Thanksgiving Service at the state House of Assembly in Alausa, Ikeja in the company of his running mate, Professor Yemi Osinbajo and key officials of the party.
Also in attendance at the thanksgiving service were prominent individuals like the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeoboye, and his wife Folu Adeboye, Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola of Lagos state.
Buhari who was previously a head of state in a speech during the service said, “All Nigerians must be free to worship God regardless of their beliefs.
“The job of government is security, peace not religion.”
