  • Chilean attacker, Alexis Sánchez and German midfielder, Mezut Ozil made sure that Arsenal beat Manchester United convincingly on Sunday, October 4, 2015.

The home side scored the first goal of the game in the 6th minute with a superb back-heel which beat David De Gea.

33 seconds after the restart, Mezut Özil fired a shot into the bottom left corner of United’s net from 15 yards out after he was teed up by Theo Walcott.

Arsenal’s third goal and the second for Alexis Sánchez came in the 20th minute after the Chilean fired in a volley from 25 yards out.

Manchester United tried to get back into the game for the remaining 65 minutes of the game but they never did. The few chances United had were foiled by goalkeeper, Petr Cech who was in superb form on the day.

The Gunners came close to scoring a fourth in the last minute of the game when substitute, Oxlade-Chamberlain sent a deft chip over an onrushing De Gea only for the crossbar to deny him.
