LAGOS, Nigeria — Chude Jideonwo has launched FourthMainland, an umbrella group for seven media, creator-support and training ventures.
The consolidation was announced on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
FourthMainland brings YNaija, Joy Inc., The Masterlist and Chude Jideonwo Presents together with three newly named divisions: the FourthMainland Creator Fund, the FourthMainland Agency and the FourthMainland Academy.
Jideonwo, a media entrepreneur and host of the talk show #WithChude, said his team had spent two years developing the structure.
He described the intended organisation as “a content and creator hub for the most compelling contemporary storytelling and IP from mainstream African culture.”
The businesses had previously operated independently, although several shared services, according to the announcement.
Jideonwo said the restructuring had placed them within “one central operation, one group of companies.”
Media and Cultural Businesses
Each business will retain a separate role within the group.
YNaija will focus on news, public figures and events through a cultural perspective, while Joy Inc. will concentrate on happiness, resilience, learning and well-being.
The Masterlist will provide cultural data and intelligence for media creators and campaigns.
Chude Jideonwo Presents will produce stories examining the emotional lives of Nigerians and other Africans through Jideonwo’s work.
Creator Investment and Training
The FourthMainland Creator Fund will identify, develop and invest in African creators, according to the group.
The FourthMainland Agency will help organisations reach audiences through the combined content network.
The FourthMainland Academy will provide training for professionals and leaders working in media, content production and storytelling.
FourthMainland said the new structure would serve as the common home for the companies, platforms and initiatives in its portfolio.
