English FA Dismisses Mourinho’s Stadium Ban Appeal

Must read

Jose Mourinho’s appeal against the £50,000 fine and a suspended one-game stadium ban slammed on him has been rejected by  the English FA.

The 52-year-old Chelsea boss got the charges after a verbal assault on officials after Chelsea’s defeat to Southampton in October, 2015. The Portuguese had claimed the referees were afraid to award decisions in Chelsea’s favour.

The suspended stadium ban will now be invoked if Mourinho makes similar foul-mouthed comments about referees for the next couple of months,

Meanwhile, Mourinho will be missing from the Chelsea technical area when the Blues face Stoke on Saturday, November 7, 2015. This is as a result of an immediate one-match stadium ban and £40,000 fine for speaking to referee Jon Moss at half-time during Chelsea’s 2-1 defeat to West Ham a fortnight ago.
