Nigerian Executed In Indonesia For Drug Trafficking Given ‘Hero’s’ Funeral (PHOTOS)

One of the three Nigerians killed in Indonesia, Izuchukwu Ezimoha, has been buried in his hometown in Ezigbo Village, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The late Ezimoha was one of three Nigerians convicted and executed in Indonesia for drug trafficking earlier in the year. The two others were Humphrey Eleweke and Seck Osmane. An Indonesian, Freddy Budiman, also paid the ultimate price for their crimes.

The Nigerian government has pleaded with the Indonesian authorities for leniency in a statement saying that “though three of them have since been executed, we are still pleading on behalf of the remaining three”.

According to Indonesian officials, the men were killed by firing squad.

The 35-year-old father and husband has been brought to Nigeria was buried on Thursday, August 18, 2016.

The burial, which took place in his hometown, was attended by family members and friends. He was laid to rest in his “mansion”.
