Woman Axes Her Pregnant Co-Wife For ‘Colonising’ Their Husband And Leaving Her Sex Starved

Must read

An obviously irked woman has almost killed her co-wife during a fight over their husband where she accused her junior of ‘colonising’ the man all alone leaving her sex starved.

The overly frustrated 35-year-old Alice Makohomero, who hails from Takawira Village under Chief Munyikwa, Zimbabwe engaged her junior in an argument when she could no longer bear the abandonment.

She brutally hit her co-wife who was said to be 8-months pregnant on the head with an axe until she passed.

Assistant Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa of Masvingo police, Dhewa said the incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, January 29, 2015.

Dhewa said, “I can confirm receiving a report of sudden death by hanging. However, we’re yet to gather information on what exactly transpired.”

One of the family members, Rafael Mutombwa, narrated how Makohomero struck the heavily-pregnant Teriza Mupfumirwa with an axe following a dispute centred on their husband, Cherechedzai Takawira, 41.

The deceased woman reportedly accused her junior wife of “monopolising” their husband.

“On Thursday at around 11AM, Makohomero asked why Mupfumirwa woke up late yet she knew that it was her turn to do household chores. Mupfumirwa felt that Makohomera had no right to tell her what to do even if she was the senior wife,” Mutumbwa said.

“Makohomero was incensed by the response. She also accused her co-wife of getting too much attention from their husband. Makohomero complained that ever since her husband married a second wife, she had been sexually starved.”

According to Chronicles, the second wife argued that she deserved more attention owing to the fact that she was pregnant and more beautiful compared to the senior wife. Mutombwa said Mupfumirwa’s words infuriated Makohomero leading to a fight.

“After realising that she was being overpowered by the eight-month-pregnant Mupfumirwa, Makohomero pulled an axe from a pile of firewood and struck her twice on the head. Mupfumirwa fell down, bleeding profusely until she became unconscious.”

Having realised what she did, she fled into a bush close to the house while the unconscious woman was rushed to a hospital where her condition is said to be critical.

Police officials later arrived the scene and organised a search party for the senior wife who was later found hanging from a tree.

She was buried on Saturday, January 31, 2015 in her home.

Meanwhile their husband, Cherechedzai, could not make a comment regarding the case.
