The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that General Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged winner in the presidential elections held in Lagos State on Saturday, March 28, 2015.
In the keenly contested election, General Buhari defeated the incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), polling 792,460 votes as against President Jonathan’s 632,327 votes.
In the 20 local government areas in the state, General Buhari won 15 while President Jonathan won 5.
