Governor Tambuwal Of Sokoto Reappoints Imam As Special Adviser On Media

Former Speaker, House of Representatives now the Sokoto State governor, Aminu Tambuwal on Friday, May 29, 2015 announced the appointment of Malam Imam Imam as his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs.

The announcement is contained in a statement personally signed by Tambuwal and issued in the state.

Imam, a former Group Politics Editor at THISDAY Newspapers, was Tambuwal’s media adviser during his tenure as the speaker.

In the statement, Tambuwal admonished Imam to rededicate himself to his new assignment by contributing positively to information management in the state.

Imam was born on July 16, 1977 in Gboko, Benue State, but hails from Taraba State.

He holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mass Communications from Kaduna Polytechnic, Kaduna and a Post Graduate diploma in Development Studies from Bayero University, Kano.

Imam is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) and Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).
