Former Minister of Aviation and Spokesman for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign organisation, Femi Fani-Kayode has come out with some choice words rebuking those calling for President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari to grant amnesty to Boko Haram fighters.
A number of notable Northern elders including a former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Mohammed Uwais, a former Secratary to the Government of the Federation, Ambassador Babagana Kingibe and former Nigerian Ambassador to the United Nations, Ibrahim Gambari recently called on the President-elect to pardon repentant insurgents.
Reacting to the call via his Twitter account, Fani-Kayode described the calls as “insulting and unacceptable.”
The call by some northern leaders that Gen. Buhari should grant Boko Haram amnesty when he comes to power is insulting and unacceptable.
