A group of hired thugs had brutally murdered a middle-aged man following an argument over lottery at Ojuelegba, in Surulere area of Lagos State.

Until his tragic death, Oluwatosin worked as a lottery agent for a woman simply identified as Shade at Odunade street in Shomolu area of the state.

A female player according to Leadership, had told him to play a number for her adding that she would come back later to check out the result.

Unfortunately, the woman was irked when she returned only for the deceased to inform her that he had deleted the game from the machine.

An argument ensued before Shade asked Oluwatosin to accompany her to Ojuelegba.

She reportedly called on a groupof assailants who eventually beat the victim to pulp.

He was rushed to a hospital at Idi-Araba where he incidentally died due to the severity of the attack.

Speaking about the tragic incident, one of Oluwatosin’s relations stated that the victim did not do anything to deserve such inhumane treatment.

He said, “The woman (Shade) dehumanized Oluwatosin by calling thugs to attack him which eventually led to his death.

“Oluwatosin was neither a thief nor cheat. He was only being careful and that was what led to what they termed as a mistake.”
