A suburban satanic sex cult in Wales forced a schoolgirl to have sex with 1800 men — and her own mother — a new book by the victim claims.
Annabelle Forest fled her abusive home when she was 18 — a few months after she had given birth to her cult leader’s child. He and her mother were convicted in 2011 of raping young children over three decades.
“I was a schoolgirl by day and a sex slave at night,” she says. “It got so bad that at one point I tried to take my own life.”
Now Annabelle has penned a memoir, The Devil on The Doorstep: My Escape from a Satanic Sex Cult, detailing the horrors she experienced at the hands of cult members.
“Nothing can hurt me as much as my mum and that man,” she says. “My mother was an evil woman and I’ll never forgive her.”

Anabelle was only seven when she was initiated into a world of sex and prostitution by her own mother in her home in Kidwelly, Wales. She watched her mother engage in sex acts with the cult’s leader.
She was not alone.
Other members of the sect all lived in the same suburban cul-de-sac. Their children — kept away from the world outside — were also compelled to attend the long, regular church services that often ended up as orgies.
“It was astonishing to me that people who came into contact with these children thought they were behaving this way out of choice,” Anabelle says. “When you have control over a child and you can intimidate them, they will do anything you say.”
By age 11 Anabelle says she had been raped by the cult’s leader, Colin Batley, being told sex was as part of a series of “tests” necessary for her to gain the favour of God.
“The worst thing about it was the fact that he made me think I was doing it out of choice,” she writes.
“He ruled our little community with an iron will and we were made to do what he ordered for fear of angering the Gods …
“It was awful. The most painful and shocking thing that had ever happened — but it was my path, that’s what he told me, and if I didn’t do it I would go to the Abyss, which was our version of hell.”

By age 14, Anabelle was engaging in group sex with her mother.
“Afterwards, Colin asked me if I enjoyed it and I knew what I had to say — I had to say yes,” Anabelle says. ”But inside I felt like dying.”
Jacqueline Marling, her mother, was jailed for 12 years in 2011 for her role in the cult. Bately was jailed without a release date, with a recommendation he remain at least 11 years behind bars.
“To be abused like that by your own mum beggar’s belief,” Anabelle says.
“I went to the sentencing in court because I wanted to see her one last time, I wanted her to reach out to me, to say it was all his fault and she was under his spell.
“But she didn’t. She just made a face and asked what I was doing there …
“But there is no point getting depressed about it, you have to live for the future. But I never want to see her again. Nothing can hurt me as much as they did, but that is what makes me stronger.”

Anabelle says she has written graphically about her 11 years of hell in order to encourage others trapped by such systematic abuse to escape.
She herself slipped into the night when she was 18 years old, leaving her baby behind. Anabelle then alerted police.
By the time she escaped, Anabelle says she had slept with more than 1800 men. The proceeds of her prostitution went to the church.
