Federal House of Representative on Monday, June 2, 2014 questioned the Aviation Ministry over the appropriateness of securing $500 million Chinese Airport loan intended for the remodeling of Port Harcourt, Abuja, Lagos and Kano airports to meet international standard.
The House requested for the full terms of agreement, the interest charges and the timeline of the loan.
However the supervising minister of aviation, Mr. Samuel Ortom, has promised to provide the needed information in five days time, even though, he argued that he was not in the ministry when the agreement was completed.
More details to come.
