A woman, Happy Mark who is based in Calabar, Cross River State capital has alleged domestic violence from her husband.
Mark on Thursday shared photos from her hospital bed asking for prayers. With a swollen face and injuries to her eye she wrote, “I shall not die before my time, instead, they will go down before me. May the Almighty hand rest upon me for quick recovery.” she captioned the post.
Earlier, she shared same photos on a Facebook group and wrote: “Fans please I need your prayer. Look at what my husband did to me.”
This week has seen countless women open up about domestic violence in their marriages and relationships.
This follows the brutal death of gospel music singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu which shook the country since the news broke on Saturday morning.
Osinachi is alleged to have been killed by her husband, Peter Nwachukwu after enduring years of abuse. In the last attack, he allegedly hit her in the chest, an attack that landed her in the hospital and she died days later.
