The National Women Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and a former Minister of Aviation, Ambassador Kema Chikwe has affirmed that she would not leave the party in the wake of recent mass defections rocking the party following its loss at the presidential election.

Chikwe, who is a former Ambassador of Nigeria to Ireland spoke to Breaking Times, saying she would remain in the PDP to help rebuild it, adding that she would be there to welcome those who have left the party.

She said: “PDP is my baby. I am not leaving the party, I am not going anywhere. Someone has to stay back to rebuild the party. Some of us will remain here to rebuild and receive the defectors when they come running back.”
