Following the recommendation of resident Muhammadu Buhari, the National Executive Committee, NEC of the All Progressives Congress on Thursday, June 25, 2020 dissolved the National Working Committee, NWC, of the party at a meeting led by factional leader, Victor Giadom.
The NEC has appointed Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state as Caretaker Chairman of the party.
Buni was sworn in by the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami.
Buni, who was a one-time Secretary of the party, is to oversee the conduct of the forthcoming APC convention.
The has also ratified the governorship primary in Edo State which produced Pastor Ize Iyamu as its governorship candidate.
