One of the most unusual stories that came out of Lagos last week was that of a bird falling on a high tension wire, getting burnt and transforming into a woman in the Oshodi area of Lagos.
This photo was posted on twitter by a Lagosian who goes by the handle @DavidTheGear on October 10, 2014.

The latest on this story is that the woman, who remains unidentified, has died in an unnamed hospital, where the police had taken her.
On the day the story emerged, it was reported that police rescued her from being lynched by a mob on suspicion that she was a witch.
According to the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, who spoke with Punch confirming her death, the corpse has been deposited at the Mainland General Hospital’s morgue.
