Kano State Police Command said it has apprehended over 30 footballers in Kano over breach of lockdown order.
Abdullahi Haruna, the Kano Police public relations officer, confirmed the arrest on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, to journalists, he said that they were arrested at different corners of the metropolis.
Haruna added that 15 Imams have also been arrested for defying the lockdown order.
The police noted that religious leaders from both Islamic and Christian faiths who violated the lockdown order would be arrested.
