Kofi Annan Visits Nigeria, To Address Politicians, Civil Society Groups On Electoral Integrity

Former United Nations (UN) Secretary-General and Chair of the Kofi Annan Foundation, Kofi Annan is set to visit Nigeria from Monday, January 12, 2015 to Wednesday, January 14, 2015 to address a conference put together by a coalition of civil society groups in Nigeria.

Annan is to deliver the keynote address at the conference which will hold on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 and will be based on his job as chairman of the Global Commission on Elections, Democracy and Security and the findings and recommendations of its report, Deepening Democracy: A Strategy for Improving the Integrity of Elections Worldwide.

Asides the keynote address, Annan will answer questions from the audience will hold private meetings with several national stakeholders who will participate in the electioneering of February 2015.
