Kwankwaso’s Campaign Co-ordinator In Bauchi Dumps NNPP, Defects To PDP

Must read

Babayo Liman, the Bauchi State Coordinator of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, and campaign council of a presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Liman disclosed his defection to PDP at a press conference in Bauchi on Monday, January 16, 2023.

The NNPP North-East Zonal Secretary said he dumped the party due to lack of structure to win elections.

He said: “I want to formally inform the general public, especially members of the NNPP in Bauchi State, North-East, and Nigeria at large, that I have resigned as a member of the NNPP.

“I have also resigned as the Zonal Secretary of the North-East as well as member and coordinator of the Presidential Campaign Council of the NNPP presidential candidate, Dr Rabiu Kwnkwaso.”

2023: ‘God forbid that I romance with APC Or PDP’ – Kwankwaso

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State and presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, has debunked rumours that he is working for another party coming 2023 general election.

Kwankwasko stated this while responding to questions on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from some of his supporters while featuring on a live radio program in Dutse, Jigawa State.

He said since he and his supporters joined the NNPP, some people have been concocting different kinds of lies just for their political reasons.

According to him, “I heard that some people are saying Northern elders met me and asked me to step down for a Northern candidate and some are saying I am romancing with APC.

“Who can tell us about Arewa? Who knows Arewa better than us? These are candidates that have issues with their qualifications and health.”

He explained that the news was baseless and was concocted by miscreants for political reasons to distract Nigerians.

“God forbid I work or romance with APC, PDP, I am for NNPP, there is no going back.

“This is a golden opportunity for all Nigerians if they want things to change for the better. NNPP is the answer and if they want things to continue, so be it,” he added.

Vicious: Kwankwaso Attacks Atiku, Tinubu, Calls Them ‘Spare Tyre’, And ‘Bed Wetter’

Rabiu Kwankwaso, immediate past governor of Kano State and the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, has mocked his closest rivals ahead of the 2023 general elections.

The former Kano governor stated this in a video released on Twitter on Tuesday,  where he explained why he was the most qualified person to be elected as the country’s next president.

“Nigerians should vote wisely this time around, as the country needs someone who can save it,” Kwankwaso said.

“I’ve worked with the Ministry of Defence, served as the Kano State Governor and represented Kano Central senatorial district for several years with enough knowledge to know what is needed.”

He also boasted about his educational credentials while making a veiled jab at ruling All Progressives Congress Presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu and People Democratic Party, PDP, flag bearer, Atiku Abubakar.

“I am a Doctor of Philosophy holder, unlike a secondary school certificate holder or diploma certificate holder. I do not ‘bed wet’, nor am I a spare tyre,” he added.

Kwankwaso’s spare tyre jab could refer to Atiku, a two-time vice president. The term “spare tyre” is considered demeaning by many politicians, including incumbent Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who prefers to be called “co-pilot.”

Kwankwaso specifically advised Tinubu in July to focus on his failing health rather than the rigours of electioneering.

Last February, a video depicting Tinubu’s soaked dress and possible odour dominated social media discussion.

The APC presidential flag bearer was soaked behind when he stood up at the palace of Awujale of Ijebuland in Ijebu Ode, with his security aide frantically covering his nose.

Later, Tinubu’s estranged ally, minister of interior, Rauf Aregbesola, alluded to the incident, declaring “won ti n to ara” (they’re already urinating on themselves).

A photograph of Tinubu wearing an inner device believed to be a “catheter bag” to expel urine surfaced in September, raising further concerns about his frail health ahead of the 2023 general elections.
