LAGOS, Nigeria — Lagos City Reporters has changed its name to Inside City Reporters, in a move the company said reflects its growth, new ownership and plans to expand its digital news operations.
The Lagos City Reporters rebrand takes effect immediately, with the platform now operating under InsideCityReporters.com, according to a statement emailed to The Trent on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.
Management said the change was designed to position the publication for a wider audience while preserving its founding editorial mission.
“The rebrand to http://insidecityreporters.com positions us to serve a broader audience and tell more stories that matter,” the management stated. “It reflects our commitment to adapting to modern realities while staying true to the values that built our credibility since 2015.”
Lagos City Reporters Rebrand Expands Digital Offering
As part of the transition, Inside City Reporters will move beyond traditional text-based publishing by adding radio and television streaming to its platform.
The company said the expansion would give readers and viewers more ways to access its coverage, while aligning the publication with changing patterns in digital media consumption.
Management said the platform would continue to publish news, features and analysis across politics, business, entertainment, lifestyle and human-interest reporting.
The company also said existing content and archives from LagosCityReporters.com would remain available through the new domain.
Platform Says Editorial Mission Remains Unchanged
Founded in 2015, Lagos City Reporters built its audience through coverage of politics, business, lifestyle and breaking news.
The management said the new identity would not alter the platform’s commitment to factual reporting, editorial independence and timely news delivery.
It described the rebrand as the start of a new phase focused on innovation, broader reach and multimedia storytelling for audiences in Nigeria and beyond.
Inside City Reporters is a Nigerian digital news platform covering politics, business, entertainment and human-interest stories, with a stated commitment to independent reporting and multimedia-driven journalism.
