Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Argentine duo Sergio Romero and Paulo Dybala with talks said to be underway over a double deal.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has been given the green light to add to his squad in the new year, with the club’s owners set to make cash available.
And Sampdoria goalkeeper Romero looks like being the first one in, with reports in Italy saying a move is at an advanced stage.
The same report also says an approach has been made for Palermo striker Dybala, who was a target for Arsenal, and is rated at about £31million.
Liverpool are seemingly hoping to get both deals wrapped up in time for January.
