A group of unknown hoodlums have stabbed a middle-aged man, Anuoluwapo Saheed, to death in front of Buffalo Hotel, located along Akerele Street hotel at the Abule Egba area of Lagos State.
An ongoing investigation has been launched by the operatives of the Lagos State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, SCIID, Yaba, to decipher the mystery surrounding the incident which happened on Thursday, July 30, 2015.
The hoodlums, led by a man identified only as Emmanuel, reportedly traced the deceased to the hotel where he was having some drinks with his friends.
It was learnt that one of the commercial sex workers of the hotel had lured him outside the hotel premises before the assailants attacked and killed him as he discussed with her amidst some hot romance.
An eyewitness, who identified herself as Taye Adeokya, told Vanguard that the victim was not stabbed inside the hotel.
She said, ”He came inside to drink, and he was strolling out with one of the hotel sex workers when the incident happened. I think the assailants were cultists, and they had been lurking around the area for very long. As soon as he came out of the gates, he was attacked.”
It was gathered that the victim was later rushed to a nearby hospital, but bled to death.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Patricia Amadin, who confirmed the incident, said investigation has been launched into the case.
