A man identified as Sunday Uche has been bathed with an acid by his friend who lured him to a hotel along Enugu-Port-Harcourt Expressway in Enugu State.
Uche who hails from Amuri, Nkanu-West Local Government Area of the state was also forced by the said friend to drink the substance on Tuesday, June 23, 2015.
Officials of the state police command has launched an investigation to uncover the mystry behind the incident while the victim s currently receiving treatment at a hospital in the state.
Confirming the incident via a statement, the state police spokesperson, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, said the victim had issues with his friend over unidentified business transactions.
He said the victim was lured to a hotel at Gariki,Awkunanaw where he was bathed with acid and forced to drink same, according to Vanguard.
