Mario Balotelli Suffers Abuse From Liverpool Fans After Epic ‘Open Goal’ Miss [TWEETS]

Must read

The news that Daniel Sturridge could now be out until mid-November has just been made a whole lot worse for Liverpool fans by this unbelievable Mario Balotelli miss.

The Italian striker had a completely open goal to aim at after QPR goalkeeper Alex McCarthy parried Adam Lallana’s initial shot, but he somehow managed to spoon the ball miles over the bar from just a few yards out.

Incredibly, the former Manchester City man’s miss wasn’t the most embarrassing moment of the match, as QPR defenders Richard Dunne and Steven Caulker both diverted the ball into their own net to hand Liverpool a 3-2 win.

However, although Liverpool came away from Loftus Road with all three points, fans on Twitter were in no mood to forget Balotelli’s blunder.
