Ekiti state governor Ayo Fayose on Wednesday May 20th 2015, described the resignation of PDP chairman Adamu Muazu is a “late but welcome” development.
Speaking on phone with Channels Television, Governor Fayose said his calls for Muazus’ resignation were nothing personal.
He said that the PDP was “not in a stable state” and as an opposition party, it is a good development for Muazu to be step down as the party chairman.
Governor Fayose stated that his call for Muazu resignation was in line with good practice all over the world. “When a leader leads his own people to election in the manner the PDP was led, then it is honourable for him to depart peacefully and he has done it”
Fayose concluded by saying that the PDP has fallen and when you fall, you need time to get your house together and that over time, things would fall in place.
