Niger Gov’t Directs Political Appointees Vying For APC Party Positions To Resign

Abubakar Sani Bello, the Niger State governor, has directed all political appointees in the State interested in contesting for positions in the State APC to resign with immediate effect.

Bello gave this directive in a press statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Ahmed Ibrahim Matane, and made available to journalists in Minna.

He noted that the measure is in compliance with the constitution of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

According to him, “Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello has directed all political appointees in the State that emerged or interested in contesting as the Executives at all party levels to kindly tender their resignation letters.”

The statement further requested that the resignation letters should be submitted to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government with immediate effect.

The SSG then enjoined those affected to comply with the directive.
