Must read

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reached out to all its councillors, asking them to be active campaigners for President Goodluck Jonathan’s re-election campaign.

Former Minister of Information and Director of Contact and Mobilization PDP’s Presidential Campaign Organisation, Jerry Gana made the call on Thursday, January 15, 2015 in a meeting with PDP councillors from the North-Central geo-political zone.

Gana said: “Do not waste your time abusing people and quarrelling over nothing or allow yourself to be drawn into violence. We have a good product to sell, present the facts of the matter and win the people for the PDP and President Goodluck Jonathan in your council areas. Please work for the party and its candidate.”

Gana reminded the councillors that they were closest to the people and are the most capable set of people to drive the points of President Jonathan’s campaign home in order to win the forthcoming election.

Gana tasked the councillors to go into their wards and remind the masses of the transformation being experienced under President Jonathan’s administration – the 10 completed power stations, the revolution of the agricultural sector and the resurrection of the railway lines linking Kano to Lagos and Enugu to Port Harcourt among others.

Also speaking at the event, the grand patron of the PDP Councillors Forum and former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mohammed Abba-Gana told the forum that with their population of 6,521, the PDP councillors forum represented the single most formidable political wheelers to beat in the re-election campain of President Jonathan, urging them to go into their wards and rake in the much needed votes.
