NAN – The Plateau State Police Command said on Monday, November 3, 2014 that four men, suspected to be specialists in car snatching and stealing of generators, had been arrested.

The suspects include a tailor, William Ezeudo, 30, and one Joseph Abel, who confessed to snatching cars at gunpoint for sale in Akwa–Ibom State.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Nasiru Oki, told newsmen that the arrest was made possible by the efforts of detectives attached to the metro area command in Jos.

Oki, who said some members of the gang were still at large, added that it was easy to apprehend Ezeudo because he was always in possession of stolen items.

The commissioner said the suspects would be charged to court soon, and called for more public support to rid Plateau State of criminal elements.
