The Senator-elect for Anambra Central Senatorial Zone, Mrs Uche Ekwunife, has condoled with the families of those that lost their lives in Sunday fire incident at Onitsha.
Ekwunife, who cut short her official engagement to inspect the carnage at Upper Iweka road on Monday, June, 1, 2015 expressed sadness over the loss of lives and property.
The Senator-elect, whose zone falls within part of the scenes of the incident, said action must be taken to end regular carnages along that part of the town.
She said, “It is unfortunate that we continue to lose our loved ones in such careless and avoidable situations.
“I want to express my deepest condolence to the families that lost their loved ones in the ugly incident and I pray for the repose of souls of the deceased.’’
