A serial rapist, Simon Sithole, has been arrested in Pretoria, South Africa, charged and convicted for raping man more than 50 women including a young mother who was breastfeeding her baby.
The 27-year-old Sithole from Mozambique was arraigned before Judge Moses Mavundla in North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria and sentenced to 78 years imprisonment after pleading guilty to 45 charges.
Sithole who was said to have a girlfriend and a daughter reportedly worked in a salon all the while he constituted a nuisance to the society through his unruly actions.
He pleaded guilty to 21 counts of rape, sexual assault, robbery with aggravating circumstances and illegal possession of a firearm.
The youngest victim of Sithole’s sexual rampage was an 11-year-old girl and three girls who were under 16 years when they were raped.
According to Times Live, almost all of his victims were unable to identify him because he covered their faces while raping them, but his 11-year-old victim recognised him at a police identity parade.
All the victims were said to be threatened with a firearm or another dangerous weapon, and most were tied before they were raped and robbed of cell phones, cash, clothes and jewelry.
It was later learnt that DNA tests results linked the sexual pervert to 21 rape cases.
