The fuel shortage in the country which has been on for, two weeks, has finally come to a head.
Reportedly, fuel marketers in the country have stopped importing fuel in reaction to President Elect General Muhammed Buhari’s campaign rhetorics in which he dismissed fuel subsidy payments as corruption laden made it clear that it would be on area he would probe.
Airlines have been affected by the crisis, some having to stop over at Accra, Ghana to get aviation fuel.
Now, two radio stations in Lagos have announced, Saturday, May 23, 2015 that they would be going off air at 8.30 pm due to diesel shortage. They can no longer run their generators and would be rationing.
The stations, Classic FM and Beat 99.9FM made this announcement on their Twitter handles.
