A lying and ignorant president is not what anybody should be proud of. Unfortunately, that is what Nigeria has in the person of General Muhammadu Buhari. Listen to him:
“I always say the civil war was fought for the unity of Nigeria because then we hadn’t even discovered oil let alone enjoying it. But two million people were killed.
“The way the Sahara is advancing, with Boko Haram, growing number of people and uncertainty over rainfall, in a land where we fought civil war leading to the death of about two million, for someone to just say he will chase us out? So where do we go?,” Buhari told the Emir of Katsina on a visit to the traditional ruler.
My question?
1. Was oil discovered after the civil war? – It was not. It was discovered in 1956 BEFORE Nigeria’s independence in a small village in Bayelsa State. This fact is clearly published on the NNPC website. As a former MD of the NNPC, Buhari cannot say he does not know the fact that oil was first discovered in President Goodluck Jonathan’s backyard.
2. Hasn’t Boko Haram been defeated by this government as they claimed? – No, it has not. Telling Nigerians that Boko Haram has been defeated is a lie projected by Buhari because he has a god complex. He confirms to the Emir that Boko Haram is alive and well and an on-going problem to the North.
Honestly, this is not the type of president you should be proud of.
