Romans 3:23 NKJV “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
I began yesterday to share with you the message I preached at THE GLORYLAND 2014. We saw that man was made in the image of God, and I showed you from the word that the image of God refers to His glory. I also said that Adam lost the glory of God when he sinned. From Romans 3:23, we see that sin robs a man of the glory of God. After Adam sinned, for the first time, God referred to him as dust.
When Adam lost the glory, he immediately began to hid from God. Genesis 3:8 “And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.” Also, he began to give birth after his own image (the glory of dust). Genesis 5:3 says, “And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth.”
But thank God, Jesus came to restore the glory of God to man! Hallelujah! I Corinthians 15:49 says “And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.” Romans 8:29 says, “For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.” Hallelujah! If you have been born again, you have the image of God in you now! Glory to God!
