God loves to answer prayers. See, even when Samson prayed a suicidal prayer, God heard him! He called to the Lord, “O Lord God, remember me, I pray! Strengthen me, I pray, just this once, O God, that I may with one blow take vengeance on the Philistines for my two eyes!” God gave him the strength that he requested for, he avenged himself and died.
Jesus said that we can receive anything that we ask for in prayer, if we believe. Believing doesn’t seem difficult; the problem of some people is that they believe wrongly. They believe that they are good enough to receive from God: like the Pharisee who said, “I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.” Luke 18:12. That’s not what Jesus meant: He didn’t say to believe in yourself, but in God.
Simple faith in God, is all you need to receive from Him; that is, simply trusting in Him to answer your prayer. When the sons of Reuben, the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh made war with the Hagrites, the Bible says that they were helped against them, for they cried out to God in the battle. He heeded their prayer, because they put their trust in Him. I Chronicles 5:18-20
