I remember in 2013, the Boko Haram sect nominated Muhammodu Buhari as their chief negotiator with the then Federal Government under President Goodluck Jonathan.
It should be rewarding to note that majority of the Northern elites such as the the Governor of Adamawa State Governor Murtala Nyako (Baba Mai angoro) and other hypocritical Northern elites charged the then Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant-general Azubuike Ihejirika to the International Criminal Court (ICC) for Genocide against the people of the North.
The Northern Youths in return whom have been blinded by their religious beliefs that the elites used to brainwash them into believing that Goodluck Jonathan was behind Boko Haram to reduce their population just to win the 2015 Presidential election.
This resulted to a situation where the convoy of the then President, Goodluck Jonathan was attacked in the north and the elites turned their eyes blind to all this in their quest to return power back to the north for their own selfish reasons.
Just last week, we saw how the convoy of the current chief of staff was said to have been allegedly attacked by the Shi’a Muslim Sect in Zaria, Kaduna State and subsequently soldiers opened fire on defenseless citizens/worshippers killing over hundred on the minority Shia sect, on the order of the COAS, General Tukur Buratai.
After the killing of over 100 unarmed shi’a Muslims by the Nigerian army, all we hear from majority of the northern youths on social media is that the Shi’a Sect are known for causing nuisance and blocking major roads, thus making commuters pass through hardship while plying that route
Is it that majority of roads in the North are not closed when they conduct their general prayers? or why is the Shi’a sect celebration different from those road block as a result of church crusades or Friday Jumat prayers?
Why is President Muhammodu Buhari and majority of the northern elite keeping mute to the unjust and extra-judicial killing of Shiites under this government by the army?
Will General Tukur Buratai be taken to the ICC by the same Northern Elites who took the then army chief, Azubuike Ihejirika, to the ICC for a claim of genocide against the North when all he was doing was hitting Boko Haram hard?
These and many more questions begs to be answered?
