After spending some time inside a toilet to avoid being caught, a visibly scared burglar decided to dial up the police for help.
Police in Sweden said on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 that the suspect had been hiding in the toilets of a pizzeria in his bid to escape the wrath of its owner.
It was gathered that the owner was alerted of the ongoing break-in around 3:15am when the alarm blew at the restaurant in the eastern Swedish city of Uppsala.
He said: “I put on a shirt, trousers and shoes and I ran.”
He later arrived and fought the burglars and two escaped while two others ran back into the restaurant and tried to barricade the door against the owner.
One of the men eventually locked himself in the bathroom to escape and called police.
“Police rescued the two men aged 18 and 19 from the owner’s fury and arrested them,” police spokesman Christer Nordstrom told AFP.
