Tottenham’s Manor Solomon Trapped in Israel After Wedding as Iran Conflict Escalates

Must read

LONDON, England — Tottenham Hotspur forward Manor Solomon and his new wife, Dana Voshina, are reportedly stranded in Israel following their wedding, amid the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran.

The 24-year-old winger, who recently played a crucial role in helping Leeds United secure promotion to the Premier League during a season-long loan, travelled to Israel last week to marry Voshina, his long-time partner since 2018.

The couple tied the knot on Thursday, June 12, 2025, just six days after Solomon featured for the Israeli national team in a World Cup qualifying win over Estonia.

Photos shared on social media showed the couple beaming as they exchanged vows before celebrating with family and friends in a festive ceremony.

However, their wedding trip quickly took a dramatic turn as tensions in the region exploded into open conflict.

Hostilities between Israel and Iran have intensified over recent days, with both countries exchanging missile attacks.

As a result, all outgoing commercial flights from the affected regions have been suspended until at least the end of June, leaving tens of thousands of foreign nationals—including British citizens—stranded.

According to The Sun, Solomon and Voshina are among those unable to leave the country due to the ongoing security crisis.

This marks the second time in three years that Solomon has found himself trapped in a conflict zone.

In early 2022, while playing for Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk, he had to be evacuated following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

He later joined Fulham on loan before completing a move to Tottenham.

Solomon is not the only high-profile footballer caught in the crossfire of the growing Middle East tensions.

Iranian international and Inter Milan striker Mehdi Taremi is also reported to be stranded in Tehran after returning home for national team duties.

Neither Tottenham Hotspur nor Israel’s Football Association has issued a formal statement on Solomon’s situation as of press time.

The UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) continues to monitor the evolving security situation and has advised against all but essential travel to the region.
