Must read

A student of the Nigerian Law School, Abuja allegedly committed suicide in his hotel room at Mariga Guest Inn in Takum, Taraba state.

30-year-old Auwal Haruna was found hanging lifeless from the ceiling fan in his hotel room.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Joseph Kwaji confirmed the incident to pressmen in Jalingo stating that investigations are already going on.

He is of the opinion that frustration and drug abuse is the root cause of the increased cases of suicide.

He said: “Most of these young men commit suicide as a result of drug abuse and frustration in life.

“Suicide is not the solution to our problems. Killing oneself is not only contrary to the laws of the land, but also against our religions.”

Kwaji also stated that the deceased was a suspect in the murder of his father, Haruna Mohammed alongside the deceased’s mother, Aisha and younger brother,  27-year-old Ahmed.

According to reports, Haruna’s  younger brother, Ahmed, allegedly kidnapped and hanged his father to death after he took in a second wife against the wishes of the first wife (their mother).
