US Visit: Fayose Should Apologise To Aisha Buhari – Lawmaker

Must read

Ajibola Famurewa, a member of the House of Representatives, has asked Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, to apologise to the president’s wife, Hajia Aisha Buhari, after her visit to the United States.

Fayose had claimed the wife of the president was wanted in the US in connection the William Jefferson bribery scandal and dared her to visit the US.

Mrs. Buhari visited the US last week, less than two months after the governor’s allegation.

Famurewa, who said she didn’t travel to the US to prove Fayose’s allegations wrong, called on the governor to apologise.

Femurewa, the representative of Atakumosa East/Atakumosa West, Ilesa East and Ilesa West Federal Constituency, made the call in a statement issued in Osogbo on Sunday, August 7, 2016.

The statement read in part, “Governor Ayo Fayose should thread the path of honor and apologise to the President’s wife, Aisha, for the spurious allegation against her and he should also apologise for lying to Nigerians.”
