Floyd “Money”Mayweather the undefeated welterweight champion shows off his $100 million check to ESPN’s Steve Levy and Joe Tessitore after his performance against Manny Pacquiao.
Mayweather faced Manny Pacquiao, after negotiations spread over a number of years, on May 2, 2015, inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Tickets for the bout – billed as ‘The Fight of the Century’ – changed hands for as much as $350,000 (£232,000) and American fans were charged almost $100 (£66) to watch on television, with millions more watching across the world.
The fight Revenue was an estimated $400m (£265m) in total and the boxers: Mayweather and Pacquiao split about $230m (£150m)
