An evil nurse has been filmed apparently biting and brutally hitting a newborn baby girl in order to stop her from crying.
Emiliya Kovacheva, who herself is a mother, has been arrested after the disturbing footage which took place in Sofia, Bulgaria went viral.
The 4-day-old baby suffered horrific injuries which prompted fears that she might die from the brutal attack, but thankfully, she survived.
Prosecutors allege that she was frustrated because the baby would not sleep and that she punished her to stop her from waking other babies in the room.
The nurse who faces charges for attempted murder risks a prison sentence of up to 20 years for the attack on the infant.
After she was shown the video evidence, Kovacheva, admitted hitting the baby during her 24-hour shift at the hospital.
A spokesman for the hospital, Boriana Marinkova said, “The most important thing for a child’s parents is to see how the baby will recover, other things are not so important.”
