15 Feared Dead As Suspected Fulani Herdsmen Attack Nasarawa Community

About fifteen people were reported killed after suspected Fulani herdsmen invaded Kompany village in lafia east local government area of Nasarawa state on Tuesday October 21, 2014, according to a Vanguard report.

According to eyewitnesses, the invaders attacked the village around 2 am, shooting sporadically, leaving fifteen dead as at Thursday, October 23, 2014 mostly women and children, with many still missing.

Speaking on the matter, the Nasarawa state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Yunana Iliya, beckoned on President Goodluck Jonathan to look into the issue of herdsmen in the country before it degenerates into another insurgency situation.
