A 16-year-old boy has confessed to killing his mother and father. What has people in shock is the reason for which Vincent Parker of Virginia decided to mete out the fatal punishment to his 57-year-old mother Carol and his 55-year-old father Wayne in their home in Norfolk on December 19th of 2013.
Pleading guilty to two counts of murder in the second-degree, Vincent said that he killed them because he was angry at his parents, his father in particular, for routinely punishing him.
The punishments, that he says were administered to him, were things like having his gadgets taken away from him.
“I just remember getting mad. It’s all from my dad. All this stuff like my dad taking away my iPod and stuff,” he told police.seizing
What is blood-curdling is the way the 10th grader committed the murders.
Parker, the couple’s only child, skipped classes on the day that he had planned to carry out the murders. That day, there had been no arguments between the boy and his parents, which stands to show the spite he had for them.
After leaving school early, he arrived at their home, where his mother was. His father was still at work.
He caught his mother by surprise as she was exiting their upstairs bathroom and doused her in pepper spray. He then stabbed her in the eye. Next, he beat her with a crowbar and a metal baseball bat “until she stopped breathing.”
When his father got home, Parker also beat him with the crowbar and stabbed him several times. Despite his mortal wounds, the father still managed to dial 911.
By the time the authorities arrived on the scene, Carol had died. Wayne was transported to hospital where here also died – after accusing his son of the crimes.
Vincent initially said that it was his father that had committed the deeds but later recanted his statement and confessed to it all.
Investigators found a total of five bloodied knives, a baseball bat, and a crowbar on the scene. A medical examiner noted that there were 25 separate smashes and stab wounds on Carol’s head, face and neck.
